Erasmus Programme

Erasmus+ Programme – Civil Engineering

The İzmir Institute of Technology (IZTECH) Erasmus+ Programme is an international exchange programme that enables students to study for a certain period at partner higher education institutions in Europe. Students who are enrolled at IZTECH at the associate, undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral level and who meet the required academic achievement and foreign language proficiency criteria are eligible to apply for the programme. The Erasmus+ Programme aims to help students develop their academic knowledge and skills in a different educational environment while also gaining intercultural experience.

The Erasmus+ Programme consists of two types of mobility:

  • Erasmus+ Traineeship Mobility
  • Erasmus+ Learning Mobility

Applications for Erasmus+ Learning Mobility are accepted online during the periods announced by the IZTECH International Relations Office. Candidates are evaluated based on their academic grade point average and foreign language proficiency score. The placement process is carried out in accordance with the quotas of universities with which IZTECH has Erasmus agreements, and the results are announced as principal and reserve lists.

Students who are accepted into the programme are required to prepare a Learning Agreement before departure, specifying the courses they will take abroad. The duration of Erasmus+ Learning mobility generally ranges from 3 to 6 months. During the mobility period, students who meet the necessary conditions may benefit from Erasmus+ grant support, and the courses taken abroad are academically recognized at IZTECH within the scope of the approved Learning Agreement.

The Erasmus+ Programme not only provides students with academic benefits but also offers opportunities to improve foreign language proficiency, become familiar with different education systems, and gain an international perspective.
