Double Major/ Minor Programs

DOUBLE MAJOR PROGRAM

The Civil Engineering Department Double Major Program is a program open to undergraduate students who are registered in one of our institute’s undergraduate programs and meet the necessary application requirements. This program aims to provide students who are highly successful in their departments with a second undergraduate diploma in Civil Engineering.

Students who are eligible to graduate from their major program and who fully meet the requirements of the IYTE Double Major Directive and the IYTE Civil Engineering Double Major Program are awarded a second undergraduate diploma from the Civil Engineering Department.

Students accepted to the program are subject to the final education plan and conditions.

MINOR PROGRAM

The Civil Engineering Department Minor Program is a program open to undergraduate students who are registered to one of our institute’s undergraduate programs and meet the necessary application requirements. The conditions for application, attendance and graduation to the Civil Engineering Department Minor Program are specified in the IYTE Minor Program Directive.

Students who successfully complete the Minor Program are entitled to receive a “Civil Engineering Minor Certificate”. This document cannot be used as a diploma.

Students who are accepted to the program must complete the courses specified in the table below in order to complete the program. Students must meet the prerequisites applied in the Civil Engineering undergraduate program for each course they will take.

The courses to be taken by the student are directed by the Minor Coordinator and Student Advisor. The operation of the program and the evaluation of course counting are carried out by the Department Minor Coordinator.
