Our Department’s Research Assistant Binhan Arık participated in the 6th National Water Engineering Symposium, where he delivered an oral presentation titled “Evaluation of the Hydraulic Performance of Different Baffle Block Geometries Used in Ogee Spillways Using CFD” in the Hydraulic Modeling session.

The study, co-authored by Binhan Arık, Ahmet Bora Bayçora, a graduate of our department’s undergraduate program, and Prof. Dr. Şebnem Elçi, evaluated the hydraulic performance of different baffle block geometries placed on the surface of ogee spillways using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) methods.
