The 2nd Earthquake and Structural Science Days were successfully held on February 4–5, 2026, at the Adnan Saygun Arts Center. During the event, our faculty member Prof. Dr. Cemalettin Dönmez conducted earthquake simulations on models, demonstrating the effects of seismic behavior on structures to the participants in a hands-on manner. Prof. Dr. Nurhan Ecemiş contributed to liquefaction experiments, providing important insights into soil behavior during earthquakes. Our research assistants Burak Albayrak and Mustafa Ergin supported the liquefaction experiments, enhancing the practical content of the event.
