Dear IYTE Family,
The 2025 Building Design Competition, organized by the Turkish Employers’ Association of Cement Industry (ÇEİS) to encourage the exploration of aesthetic and innovative uses of cement, has concluded.
This year, the competition was held under the theme “Urban Transformation: Alternative Approaches”, and many valuable projects from across the country were evaluated. In total, more than 1 million Turkish Liras in prizes were awarded.
In the student category, a team consisting of IYTE Architecture students Nisa Nur Çapık and Mustafa Kocaman, along with Civil Engineering students Engin Altun, Ali Yaşar, and Saygı Öztaşkent, was granted an honorable mention, bringing us great pride.
We sincerely congratulate our students on this achievement attained through interdisciplinary collaboration, and we wish them continued success in their future endeavors.
