The “IZTECH Yellow Submarine” team, consisting of our department students Galiphan Yılmazkaya, Engin Egi, and Hüseyin Çoban, together with Energy Systems Engineering student Utku Güney Yalçın, achieved second place in the FLOWIND competition organized by the Construction Club of Yıldız Technical University Construction Club for undergraduate students.

As part of the competition, the team developed a floating platform design for offshore wind turbines. The finalist teams presented their designs to the jury on the competition day, after which the proposed platforms were tested in the wave basin of the YTU Hydrodynamics Research Laboratory.
